I was wondering if anyone has had success in billing CPT codes 87880 (Rapid strep test) and 87651 (Strep group A, amplified probe technique) together and getting paid? We would do the rapid test first and if negative we would do the amplified probe technique. I'm worried that the insurance companies are going to bundle them together and not pay both but my provider thinks we can do them and get paid. Thank you for your time, any input is appreciated!!
