Medicare and Medicaid have new CPT codes 96150-96155 for behavioral assessment and intervention with medically ill patients. We are wondering if payers will reimburse for these codes, specifically Medicaid MCO's (Wellcare, Passport, Aetna Better Health), Medicare, and commercial (Anthem, Humana, ect). Also, will the payers pay these codes for a LCSW in an outpatient setting? Any information at all about these new CPT codes will be very helpful.
