Wiki Credential for Emergency Room

I haven't seen anthing thru aapc but you may want to check out some of the other entities... Ahima, PHIA.... maybe they do.Can anyone tell me if there is a credential for Emergency Room coding? I have been told there is one, looked and looked, but cannot find one anywhere.

AHIMA does not offer any specialty credentials and PHIA does not offer one for ER. However, look into BMSC and Practice Management Institute or something along those lines.

AAPC used to have a ED speciality credential, I have tried to put the word out that I would like to purchase the handbook (materials), but cannot find anyone that had taken the exam. AAPC does not have any copies available. Maybe they will bring that speciality exam back if we can get enough support!
