does anyone know a good CPT code for a deltoidplasty reconstruction other than the unlisted code 23929? It's my first time coding this type of procedure and could use some assistance.
Our Attention was now turned to the deltoid. The deltoid was effectively mobilized from medial to lateral and from the most medial aspect of it; it was brought up over the anterolateral corner of the deltoid, restoring the deltoid contour and creating a deltoidplasty, bringing the deltoid which had been retracted to the humerus up on top of the acromiom.
This was anchored in place with #2 Ethibond suture. the splint in the deltoid was closed with #2 Ethibond suture. At the conclusion of the deltoidplasty, we had a normal rounded contour of the deltoid able to be effected and restored.
At this point, the split in the deltoid was closed with #2 Ethibond sutures. the subcutaneous tissue was closed with 00 vicryl; the skin with Monocryl sutures.
