Please help me figure out what diagnosis code to use in this situation. Pt is out of PO for the removal of the infected prosthesis. He had an antibiotic spacer placed at the time. He is now able to proceed with surgery to take out the antibiotic spacer and place the prosthetic joint. What diagnosis code would I use??? Any help or references would be great.
