I am trying to find the appropriate diagnosis for a pregnant mother with Lupus who is having a fetal echocardiogram. The mother's condition is complicating her pregnancy. Since none of the pregnancy complication codes are specific to System Lupus (710.0), I want to use 648.93 but there are specific diagnosis codes listed as 'conditions classifiable to' and lupus isn't one of the conditions. I also considered 646.93 (unspecified complication), but since it is specified, it doesn't really fit either. Any help would be appreciated.
