I'm looking for some information on diagnosis coding for L.Acs. Due to L.Acs not being able to formally diagnose patients, when selecting the diagnosis code, should general dx code be used, or should the highest level diagnosis code be used, as verbally provided by the patient? L.Acs do not require referral, so there would be no formal record of a diagnosis. Thanks!
