I am searching for a diagnosis code for this "wound" that I can link to the debridement. The doctor used S91.301 but ICD says traumatic injury codes S00-T14.9 are not to be used for normal, healing surgical wounds or to identify complications of surgical wounds.

Patient presents followup open partial first ray amputation right foot on 3/29/16 for abscess/osteomyelitis

Open partial first ray amputation right foot increased granulation tissue and fat layer exposed.* Mix of granular fibrous tissue noted wound base.* No surrounding erythema.* Moderate edema noted to foot.* No exposed tendon or bone.*

Wound underwent excisional debridement scalpel of nonviable tissue including skin slough/biofilm subcutaneous tissue to bleeding tissue.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
