Wiki Does anybody do pediatric rehab billing?

Hi

I work for a non profit rehab organization in the Children Services Dept. We are really getting denials left and right from the insurance carriers that the services are not medically necessary? Most of our children have CP or other disabilities.

Does anybody work in this area of medical billing and coding?

RE: What CPT codes are being used?

We are using 97110, 97530, 92507 and then the evaluation codes 97001, 97002 etc.

We are getting denials due to medical necessity because our children we see are ones with chronic disablities.
