Since Medicare will not reimburse for code 31575 with dx F45.8, what scenario would be the best to get this paid?

Have you checked your local Medicare Administrative Carrier's website for an active or retired LCD for CPT 31575? That LCD should have a list of acceptable diagnosis codes that you can compare to your physician's documentation for this patient's problems.

Thank you for your responses. It was told me by colleagues that Medicare does not pay for 31575 with DX code F48.5, Only report the code R13. 14 since this diagnosis was also coded.

We use DX R09.89. No issues being paid.
