When coding for outpatient physician visits do i consider the diagnosis Z23-incounter for immunization as a diagnosis for the overall leveling of the e/m code??

No. The Z23 is only for any immunizations and wouldn't stand alone for the office visit. It can be listed with other primary dx's with the visit. If the patient was in just for immunizations, then there shouldn't be a e/m visit billed. Hope this helps.

thank you, that helps a lot. I am a new coder and i am just trying to better understand this whole E/M aspect.
