I need help what CPT Code do I use for routine EEG interpretation and 48hr EEG interpretation? New to this and need help. Thank you in advance.

Well did you read results..you can use this data? Sometime provider /doc reading results will say abnormal EEG dx use dx R94.31 or R94.01 or I49.1 just cardio if thta is problem or R50, R07,Etc. Also, what dx problem or medical necessity per provider give..... why was it done? I imagine some cardiac or pulmonary or blood problems but provider needs to list this info down..

Thank you for the response but I'm looking for the CPT code not the DX codes.

Ahh it is listed alphabetically in back of CPT manual. CPT codes 93000 12 leads EKG and ECG 93306

None of us can give you an answer without understanding whether or not this includes data review, the type of recording, and whether it monitored or not. There's no quick and dirty answer.

Why don't you read this section in CPT? It will give you the instructional notes so that you can assign the code correctly.
