I'm on the job market, and I have been told by more than one employer that I interviewed with that the reason I was passed over was because I lack training and/or experience with electronic health records. Would anyone in this forum be able to recommend any sort of training program that I could take to get some knowledge of EHR that might give me a foundation that future employers can build upon? These other coders have given you some good suggestions. There is something else to keep in mind and this is very good news. I have been on three EMRs and they all have the same functions, you just might get to them a bit differently. And for the most part they are not that difficult, it's just a matter of being able to navigate the software which won't take long.
