Hello All,

My physician's perform the following procedure endoscopically: Cubital Tunnel Release, Pronator Teres Release & Trigger Finger Release. We were originally coding it as follows: Cubital 64718, Pronator 64708 & Trigger 26055. However, we've recently been advised that due to using the endoscope for all of the procedures the proper code would be 29999 ONLY.

Any thought and or suggestions?

Thank you,

Cynthia, CPC

Yes, unlisted is more appropriate. From my research, typically the time of the procedure is usually 25% shorter than the open version. So when we price endoscopic versions of open procedures, we deduct 25%, use the unlisted code and add information for box 19
