This pt comes in for a end of life battery change and has a dual chamber pacemaker.

The MD caps the atrial lead and connects the ventricular lead, how do I code this?

You code it based on the new generator that is now in place. if he placed a dual chamber but only used the RV lead and capped the AV lead due to a-fib or whatever, it is still 33228. If he removed the dual and placed a single chamber it would be 33227
