Is anyone having trouble with the Epoetin labs J0885 and J2916? Primarily with MCR.
Please let me know it would be a great help.
Thanks,
Stephanie

What kind of problems are you having?? We give Procrit injections in our office daily & use J0885. We have no problems with Medicare. We do need to use modifier EC with the J0885 code with medicare patients. The diagnosis codes we use are 285.21 & 585.X, in that order.
Hope this helps!

Stephanie,

Epoetin/Procrit is a drug, not a lab, perhaps that might be one of the misunderstandings that is creating a problem with getting reimbursement. Describe how the billing is being done and what problems and perhaps may be able to assist.
