Exam Arrival 30 minutes early

The exam instructions say to arrive 30 minutes early or it will be considered late. They also list both a “Time” and a “Book” time. Does this mean we need to arrive 30 minutes before the “Time” or 30 minutes before Book time?

For an in-person exam, you have to arrive early so that the proctors can do your book and ID check, and read the exam instructions. During the instructions, you'll also fill out the pre-exam part of your Scantron sheet. (Your name, the exam version, your proctors' names, etc.)

All of those steps must be completed before you break the seals on your exam booklet and start the exam. That's why there's a published book-check time that is earlier than the exam time.

Once the proctor begins reviewing the instructions, no additional examinees can be admitted to the room. As long as you arrive by the book check time, you'll be fine.
