I have been trying to get a new coding job since January and am not sure what is going on. If the last company is giving me a bad review or something. I have had interviews but then all of a sudden that’s it. Or others require stupid assessments and I freak and get anxiety and have never been able to do well on those. I’m at a loss. I have two years am trying to get the A removed and we are huge debt with me not working since then. Please someone help. I got my first two jobs no problems. Why is it now I have some experience I can’t.?? 🙏

I'm in a similar position myself. I've had a few interviews, but no offers yet. I'll admit I got lucky with my first coding job. It does seem harder to switch jobs even with some experience.

Can you clarify something?

In your post, you say that you're trying to get your A removed. On your resume, it says CPC (no A). Is there a reason for the contradiction?

Also, looking at your location, have you tried looking at Parkview Hospital? I see coding positions posted for them somewhat regularly.

I am in a similar situation. I have been looking for 10 months, have only been offered 1 interview and job but had to turn it down due to the pay. I am an insurance authorization specialist right now and made $4.00 more than what they were offering for the coding position. With this economy I cannot take that big of a pay cut. I am just at my wits end and honestly ready to give up on coding all together. Everything I look at wants anywhere from 2 to 5 yrs experience. How do they expect us to gain experience if they do not hire.
