Fenestration of Calcium Deposit

Does anyone know if there is a specific code for fenestration of calcium deposit? Patient has calcific tendonitis in the left shoulder. Physician asking for ultrasound guide evaluation of left shoulder, fenestration of calcium deposit and injection of steroid and anesthetic.

It's hard to say without knowing more about the procedure that is planned - what method or technique are they going to use to do the fenestration?

Basically, physician is going to use a "dry needle" to break up the calcium deposit. Multiple times.

There are two relatively new codes for dry needling that you might consider (CPT codes 20560-20561) but these are for treatment of of muscles/trigger points, so I'm not sure that what your physician is planning for treatment of tendonitis would fall into this category. My guess is that the unlisted code 20999 is going to be more appropriate here.
