I am trying to bill 11200 with 17000 and it is coming back denied!! I am pretty new to coding and I'm not sure how to fix this. Would a mod 51 work?:confused:
 
Hard to say without knowing the denial reason, but these codes are paired on the CCI table, so if billed together, 11200 would need a 59 (or XS) modifier to indicate it's a separate lesion, and most payers would look for pointers to separate diagnosis codes since these are procedures for different types of lesions. Payers often deny 11200 as a cosmetic procedure too, so that might need supporting documentation. Hope this helps some.
