His right upper extremity was prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion.
an incision was made over the area of the clavicle and anteriorly over the area of the coracoid through which blunt and sharp dissection was used to dissect the superior clavicle and the inferior coracoid. The arthrex guide ws then used to drill a guidewire through the coracoid holdinf this in and over drilling a 4mm drill was used to place the anchor of the acromioclavicular system in place. 2 -4mm drill holes were placed in the calvicle and the system was tighted down to hold the AC joint in reduced position. This was noted to be very stable in range of motion. Vicryl sutures were used to close the fascial layers.
