Hello fellow coders,

need help finding an icd-9 code. I am trying to look up patella alta and patellofemoral friction syndrome. I am unable to find either one in the book. Please help.

I tried using it, but I couldn't find anything either. You might have to ask your provider to describe both syndromes. That might help you a bit when using that web site.

I think you'll have to go with 718.86 for both, but patella alta can be idiopathic or congenital....
if congenital 755.64

Thank you so much for your input it helped a lot. The physician is unsure whether it is congenital so I better go with the 718.86. Thanks again
