The Doctor states he removed a K-Wire from the fourth toe, then proceeded to place K-wire and a pin percutaneously in the same toe, I could really use some help on a CPT code for this, The Dx that the Doctor had written was a hammertoe and a removal of K-wires.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If hammertoe was the preoperative dx then do not use that, the is a V code for fitting and adjustment which should work , but I am curious as to why he removed the wire and then inserted a new wire, is this due to some complication which would be the dx instead?
