Is there any documentation or would anyone know on the facility side which would be correct? Both docs are Ortho, same day, same OR


Example: Shoulder procedure done

Doctor A starts DX scope and becomes ill. Doc B steps in and does the surgical part of the case while doc A stays within room to observe.

Billing for ASC side. Shouldn't the claim be billed out for DOCTOR B since he did the surgical part or should it still be DOCTOR A since this is his patient?
