My doctor was the assistant surgeron on a laparoscopic inguinal henia repair and then did a vasectomy while the patient was still under general anesthesia. I'm only seeing one code for vasectomy, or am I not looking far enough?

If this was done laproscopically I would not use the 55250 as that is an open procedure which was not performed and I am sure the documentation doesnt come close to the lay description for that code. You may end up having to use an unlisted lap code but you can make reference to the 55250 as a comparison code.

If it was done open through the scrotum, then 55250 is correct.
