This new workshop will introduce you to the basics of E/M scoring using the Highmark Medicare Services score card. This 3 hour workshop is designed to explore E/M key components, review the basic documentation requirements and best practices. We will examine medical record examples and reinforce the dynamics of using the score card to code the appropriate level of service based on the medical record documentation. Understanding the utilization of the E/M score card will help you minimize coding errors.
It is designed for the beginning coder to gain an understanding of E/M services and utilizing the scorecard for E/M auditing. Advanced coders will find this workshop is an excellent review!
