Patient has medicare was seen by my provider billed medicare medicare that we need to bill hospice. i am not familiar at all with hospice billing so any kind of information on how to bill hospice would be great
 
Its been a while since I have billed Hospice, a couple of years. At that time you billed the charges directly to the Hospice when the patient has Medicare. The Hospice evidently is paid by Medicare. I dont know all the details. You may want to call the Hospice and ask them the current procedures. That is what I did as it was only for 1-2 patients. I know when I submitted to the Hospice then, they paid fairly quickly.
