Hello all,

In the ASC setting and wondering if anyone bills for implants that were In & Out to carriers who reimburse for implants? From my understanding you should not be able to bill for implants such as screws, anchors and so on unless they leave w/ the patient regardless if the screw broke and/or wasn't the right size...
Any thoughts would be great and anywhere to get documentation!

You are correct. If they are in and out they are basically supplies (ie K-wires used to set fracture).

If the screw breaks..then is considered waste.
