I hope someone can help me with this!?? If my neurologist moves a patient from regular hospital room to rehab wing in the hospital- would it still be coded as Inpt or Nursing Home??

Help!!

Shelley:eek:

Most likely it would be an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit / hospital but it is best to verify with the facility to be sure.

Yes, check with the facility. Our physiatrists have patients at 2 different rehab facilities. One is a stand-alone facility, the other is a "rehab wing" of a local major hospital. We use POS 61 for both. Not sure if that helps
