Need a topic to begin a powerpoint session with my M.A's and back office staff.

We've touched on nurse visits already, any suggestions. Can be in the direction of compliance or coding topics for back offices M.A's.

How about items/services with limiting diagnoses for Medicare and the importance of ABNs? An example would be tetanus only for medical neccesity and not because they are due.

Documentation of services they provide, it is always good to stress proper documentation and charge capture.

I don't know how your office is set up, but we depend heavily on our MAs to document and charge for blood draws, vaccines, allergy injections, etc.. and with flu shots flying off the shelves like hot cakes I have found a lot of missing charges in my offices.
