Humana has sent me an EOB with only the alternate benefit code, NOT the code turned in that was the actual service. I can live with the alternate benefit provision, but the provider discount was based on the fee for the alternate benefit instead of the service code. Code AE is supposed to tell the pt the out of pocket amt may be different than EOB lists. An inexperienced poster may miss this. Anyone else seeing this?
