Hello,
I hope someone can answer this for me.
When our doctor does an ICE (intra-cardiac echo) with PFO?s he always does a second access to insert the ICE catheter. Can the doctor bill for the separate catheter access/entry for the ICE.?

Thank you in advance,

Jody

Access is inherent with the ICE, and is bundled with the code for the PFO closure anyway. No separate access/catheter placement is warranted IMO.

HTH :)
