Wiki IUD after Tubal

If a patient has had a tubal will the insurance cover an IUD as birth control as well? A tubal are not always 100% effective . Just curious to see if anybody has come across this.

The insurance company will deny it if you code it for birth control. Documentation and diagnosis code will need to be for bleeding.
