What are the replacement J codes for Methylprednisolone acetate injections for April 2024. I am looking for replacement codes for J1030 & J1040 since they expire on March 31, 2024.
I was just searching for this information myself and I can not find anything. I am going to try and use the NDC code that I would have used for J1030 or J1040. As far as I am aware J2920 and J2930 were also deleted. Is anyone else aware of this?J1030 and J1040 have different NDC numbers. What NDC number should we use for J1010 ? Should we apply NDC for J1030 or J1040 depending on what has been injected?
Please advise
Thank you. That is what I thought as well. You will bill the J1010 for all Depo-Medrol injections, it is replacing the J1020, J1030, & J1040. The NDC# on the claim will alert the insurance carrier as to which strength/concentration was used (J1020, J1030, J1040).
J2920 report J2919What about J2920 for METHYLPREDNISOLONE? Both J2920 and J1040 were deleted.
You are supposed to bill your one line like normal then add another charge for your waste, with Ndc and all. Put the JW only on the 2nd charge for the waste. How would you report waste on the single dose vials? 2 lines with a JW?
Yes!The description for J1010 says 1mg. Our office uses a 40mg dosage usually billed with J1030. Using the 1mg J1010 I would change the units to 40 and use the same NDC number I have been using?
Yesdo we just add the correct units in that case...ie: 80 units for 80mg?
YesHow would you report waste on the single dose vials? 2 lines with a JW?
