Please if anyone could help me. An Cervical Spine xray stated Mild Arthritis of the intervertebral joints of Luschka, should I report diagnosis code M47.812 (Spondylosis without myelopathy or radiculopathy, cervical region ) or M46.92 (Unspecified inflammatory spondylopathy, cervical region)? Thank you very your help!

In the alphabetic index in ICD-10, arthritis of the spine or vertebrae directs you to use spondylopathy, inflammatory, category M46.9-. I'm not sure how you're arriving at spondylosis from this diagnosis unless you have additional documentation?

Thanks thomas7331, yes I found that, too. However reading the Tabular List under M47 Spondylosis includes arthrosis or osteoarthritis of spine and also degeneration of facet joints; and you are right, report also indicated osteophytes at C5 to C7. That was the reason I was hesitating. But I will stick with M46.92. Thanks again!
