If a patient has squamous cell carcinoma on the scalp and on the neck - both locations have the same ICD 10 code C44.42, which we are suppose to report on claims only once. But since these are two different problem, does it mean we can calculate problem points for SCC on the neck separately and then add problem points for SCC on the scalp?

I would honestly not give double points for the same diagnosis even though they are located in two different areas. Many times with my practice I will have multiple BCC's or SCC's but can still only bill a 99202 for a new patient. Because the dx's are "related" is really the reason behind my not giving double points.
