We are a young medical billing company located in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. I am looking for an experienced medical biller and collections specialist to join our team. Requirements
1. Must be computer savvy and familiar with excel.
2. Must know medical terminology
3. Must be familiar with ICD 10, HCPCS and CPT codes.
4. Must be very organized
5. Must have great telephone and communication skills
6. Must have experience doing medical billing and collections
7. Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment and under pressure
8. Must be familiar with speaking to insurance companies and reps while doing collections
9. Must have excellent reading comprehension and analytical skills in order to determine the reason for denials/rejections when doing collections.
Job Description
You will be billing for multiple accounts that our company has. After the billing is done, you will be doing collections and posting payments for the rest of the month. The billing cycle is 1-2 weeks in the beginning of the month, and after that we do collections and posting.
