Hello! Currently if we are doing a RT & LT 73562, it is being billed with a 76 rather than a 50. They tell me radiology is "different" and we use the 76 not the 50 modifier. Does anyone know if this is correct or not?? Appreciate anyone's input!!

Neither are correct. Depending on payer:

A) 73562 on a single line with 2 units

B) split into 2 lines
73562-LT
73562-RT
And following on from CodingKing, modifier 76/77 could never, ever be correct. An x-ray of the left and an x-ray of the right can never be considered a repeat procedure. Two separate x-rays of the same laterality taken at different times but on the same day would qualify for mod 76 as would two chest x-rays on the same day.
Hope this makes sense.
