Wiki Modifier 77

Does modifier 77 refer to procedures done on the same day? Or can the procedure be done on a different day? Our billing company has started adding it to our fracture care codes when the fracture was treated at an urgent care the day prior. In my opinion the urgent care should be using the 54 modifier and us the 55.

Modifier 77 is for use on repeat procedures on the same day by a different provider, not a different day.
