Wiki Modifier for HCPCS?

I have a prob w/ USDL,they denied our implants w/ an authorization ,they are asking us for a modifier 59 for our implants ( pt had 4 implants)
has anyone ever encountered this.

I myself have never heard of that because normally implants don't have modifiers for an ASC but maybe it's carrier driven. I would call them or review the contract to see why they want this.

The US Dept of Labor has their own set of rules for everything!! I dont ever recall doing it, but with them, you do as they ask..but next week they will want it a different way...grrrrr they disgust me..lol
