I have two cpt codes, no bundling issues, do I still need to use a modifer on the 2nd code or can i bill out both codes no modifier?

There is no need for a modifier if there is no bundleing issue. However you may run into a payer here and there that still requires the 51 modifier be appended to the second procedure code to indicated second procedure in the same session. You need to know those payers that still require the 51 and those that do not.

yes, you follow the coding guidelines, but the insurance companies always have the final say. That's so they can hold on to your $$$ longer. Just venting
