I am looking for the modifiers that will be created to differentiate between Digita radiology and Cr and Analog.
The CMS FY 2017 Proposed Rules for the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (HOPPS) and the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) were issued July 2016. As expected, the proposed rules would use a modifier to the CPT codes for the reduction in reimbursement in exams using Film X-ray. However, the impacted CPT codes have not been identified at this point. Reductions in the reimbursement for the use of CR are expected to be released July 2017.
