I need some guidance on using PC modifier-26 on PFT CPT codes. We only use these four PFT codes at our facility. We own the equipment and the physician. The codes we use are 94010, 94060, 94727, & 94729.
When our doctor reads 94010- I assume I'm suppose to add 94010-26 for the professional component
94060- PC I assume would be 94060-26
Our complete PFTs consist of this combination: 94010, 94727, & 94729 OR
94060, 94727, & 94729. So on the interpretation of the complete PFT- Which code do I need to add the 26 modifier on, or am I suppose to add the 26 modifier to each code within the complete PFT sets???
For example: 94010-26
94727-26
94729-26
Any help would be appreciated.
