As an ASC in Nebraska, are we required to accept the Nebraska Work Comp fee schedule rates as payment? If not, then what is the process....as in do we need to "contract" with each work comp payer that comes in to get a better rate?

Did you get an authorization from the work comp carrier for the procedure? It you were out of network, that would have been the time to settle on a price. You can't bill the patient.

Most doctors do contract with each work comp payer they do business with, whether or not they have a fee schedule separate from the state schedule.
