Are medical assistants able to provide neb treatments and if so would the billing and payment for administering the neb treatment be the same amount as if a Respiratory Therapist administered the treatment in the
outpatient dept? All answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
 
MA cannot bill under their own name regardless of whether they can administer the treatment or not. Its all billed under incident to guidelines.
