Wiki New fx (periprosthetic?) around pin of external fixation device - ICD 10 coding help

Good Morning.
Unsure of how to code a NEW fracture of a tibia that occurred at the site of one of the pins from a previously placed external fixation device.
The periprosthetic fx ICD 10 codes specify that they are for INTERNAL fixation devices. Does a fracture around the pin of an EX Fix count? I'm basing this on the fact that while it is an external fixation device - the pin itself is in the bone.

If this happened intraoperatively, you could use the M96.6_ code set. If not, the T84.89_ plus the fracture codeset for tibia.

Thank you for your help - this is close to what I need...this code is for infection/inflammation -
I need one that covers a fracture and the closest code I can find is T84.89xxa - Other specified complication of internal ortho prosthetic devices, implants and grafts...
My problem with this code is that I'd like it to reference OTHER internal ortho devices...as an ex fix pin isn't a prosthetic device, nor is it a true implant.
I appreciate you finding that article for me as it got me a lot closer!!

Just add Z96.7 in addition to the T84.89_ code.
