Would like any and all opinions on this please? This is a request from an office and I am researching now. Would like for anyone to help here.
Here is one I'm not sure how to enter…Newborn was admitted on the 14th by one doc, rounded 15th & discharged on 16th by another doc, but on the 16th mom developed a fever and was not discharged till 21st along with the NB. Dr does not want to charge rounds 17th thru 21st (which he should not). My question is on what day do I put the 99238 discharge? Dr actually charted this on the 16th. I want to put the 99238 on the 21st to Dr, but is this correct or should it be the 16th, and just list the hosp stay in the ailment as 14th to 21st? Thanks!
Pediatrics is not my area of specialty so anyone?
