Information needed: I work in a cardio clinic, we have a NP that is also a registered dietician, is there a separate charge for that if she discusses nutrition and exercise as part of her visit with them.
 
( just a thought) ~~~ A registered dietician has few cpt codes for Medical Nutrition Therapy and they have some criteria for coverage. Google them and check them out , 97802-97804 etc. Some commercial payers don't pay for them though..., you would have to check with the payers. And so, you would have to decide if she files an E/M or a Medical Nutrition Therapy code .
