I have a new provider wanting to do Colonoscopies and EGD's in our office
practice (multi spec doctors office) and my admin wants to know if we can also bill for the procedure room. My understanding is that would only be billed for Outpatient or ASC??
Help!!:confused:
 
you will bill them with the POS as 11 (in office). The reimbursement is higher for those procedures performed in the office rather than a facility. The additional monies paid are to cover the equipment, procedure room, supplies etc and not billable seperately
