When patients want to be tested at our office for Covid 19, what should we be coding for? Currently, we code for an Office Visit & Sample Collection. The sample is sent to a lab for testing and they are handling the coding and billing for that.

Is coding and billing for the Office Visit & Sample Collections correct?
 
I agree with Sharon - We test patients that come into our office for COVID-19, bill 99211 w/appropriate diagnosis code(s), and apply CS or CR modifier unless its WellCare since they do not accept the CS or CR modifiers.
